DJ is the percussionist for His Design Quartet. DJ started out early with his love of Southern Gospel Music. He used to be in his walker as a pre-toddler “dancing” in front of the TV as his parents would play videos from the Cathedral Quartet.
At the age of 3 DJ told his parents that he wanted to play drums. They thought he would get over the urge to bang on things but, after 4 years of banging on things, his parents put him in private lessons and within just a few weeks, his natural talents started shining through.
DJ joined His Design at the age of 13 and could easily step on stage and play percussion for any group on the road today. He also plays in the sanctuary praise band at Harmony Baptist Church in Avon, IN where his father is the Worship Pastor, lending his talents on drums, bass guitar, lead guitar or running sound. DJ is a fine example of a teenager who is serving God with all that he has. DJ was also a member of the State Champion Avon Marching Black and Gold in 2007 and the World Drum Line of 2007.
DJ is currently pursuing his interest in studio engineering and recording.
